How To Be Grounded Yet Spiritual

Grounded-Yet-Spiritual

Based on spiritual teachings, every chakra in our system has several functions – Physical, Psychological and Spiritual.

Therefore the size and activation level of the chakras affect our health and general well-being.

While the upper chakras, including the Crown chakra, make it possible to communicate with the divine and receive intuitive messages, the lower chakras, including the Basic, chakra ensure we live and survive physically.

Every chakra has its very own important role in our life. No chakra is better or more important than the other, as malfunctioning of each chakra bring about serious health issues. This can be compared with the body – every organ has a specific role and is important in our general health and well-being. Any organ that malfunctions creates problems in our everyday life.

Being spiritual is very good and rewarding, but being practical is equally important!

There are some people in the spiritual path who have a wrong idea of a spiritual person. Often, a spiritual person is perceived as someone who is slow, passive, very soft and sometimes old. Maybe because spiritual practice activates the upper chakras and if grounding or rooting is not done properly the person starts floating – losing touch with the practical and material side of life. This often creates problems such as an inability to attract money, relationship issues or even inability to produce physical results.

Based on Master Choa Kok Sui’s teachings, spiritual development should be well-rounded! It is not only the Crown chakra that needs to be developed. Spiritual development means activation and strengthening of all the chakras and subtle vehicles, which appear as more love, more intelligence, more will and more intuition.

A spiritual person is not anaemic! A spiritual person should excel in whatever he/she does!

“Your success or failure reflects the degree of your Spiritual Development. What you produce shows how developed you are.”

That is why the main purpose of Arhatic Yoga is to produce sharp, intelligent, loving and wilful disciples who become great world servants. Without the energy of the Basic chakra, it will be hard to move and produce results.

So how do we stay grounded and yet experience the inner world?

During meditation, the upper chakras, including the Crown chakra, get highly activated. The Crown chakra is the gateway to heaven within. As the Crown chakra gets activated, one’s intuition develops. However, it is very important to ground oneself at the end of the meditation by bringing down the energy from the Crown chakra to the base of the spine and visualize light going deep into the earth and bless Mother Earth. Our lower rooting is as important as our upper rooting.

That is the reason why every meditation developed by Master Choa Kok Sui ends with rooting. This is to ensure we remain practical, yet spiritual!

Meditation is a spiritual technology. Every step of the meditation is important!

“The Spiritual Path is more complicated than the Amazon. The Guru has already been through the “forest”. Follow the guidance of the Teacher to avoid getting hurt.”

Grand Master Choa Kok Sui
