The Juicy Tomato

The approach of looking at the color of the food to guess the predominant color prana stored in them does not basically work for red tomatoes. Although red tomato looks red in color, it only has a minute degree of red prana, but more of yellowish-green; thus it is not activating, but cooling and regenerating.

Explained by Master Choa Kok Sui in Advanced Pranic Healing book, greenish-yellow prana has mainly regenerating effects on the brain cells, nerve cells, and internal organs.

In traditional herbal treatment tomato is considered helpful for the growth of children.

Tomatoes are known as good sources of Vitamins C, A and K, as well as potassium and manganese.

Potassium basically helps in transmission of nerve signals and improves fluid balance in the body; it is good for blood pressure, chronic fatigue syndrome and muscle weakness.

Tomatoes are naturally low in sodium, fat calories and cholesterol. Therefore they not only improve eyesight, hypertension and diabetes but also fight skin problems and urinary tract infections.

They also have a large number of antioxidants including lycopene that is believed to reduce the risk of cancer, especially prostate, breast and stomach cancer, as well as improve age-related macular degeneration. In fact the yellowish-green prana of the tomato, is the reason behind its regenerating qualities.

Based on the research of Dr. John Cook Bennet, yellow gel surrounding the seeds in tomato, can prevent clotting that is helpful in preventing stroke and heart disease. Nutrients such as niacin and folate highly reduce heart problems.

In general tomato helps in:

1. Keeping Strong Bones – The vitamin K and calcium, as well as yellowish prana found in tomato, makes it a good nutrient for strengthening and repairing bones. Lycopene has been also proven helpful in improving bone mass and to fight osteoporosis.

2. Fighting Cancer – The great storage of lycopene in tomato can reduce the risk of a great number of cancers including prostate and stomach cancer. It is believed that if tomatoes are taken with a little bit of fat such as olive oil, the lycopene can be absorbed well by the body.

Especially dealing with problems in the eyes, like farsightedness and nearsightedness, the fine bioplasmic channels (also knows as meridians) are clogged. Yellow prana basically has a cementing effect, it can group the diseased energies, while green prana can dissolve and cleanse them. Therefore these color pranas in this case help clean and unclog the fine bioplasmic channels of the eyes.

4. Balancing Sugar Level – Tomato is a very good source of chromium that has regulating effect on the blood sugar.

TNF-alpha level is high among individuals who have degenerative diseases such as heart disease, osteoporosis, alzheimer and cancer. The yellowish-green content of tomato basically creates a regenerating effect on the body and fights such diseases.

6. Reducing Chronic Pain – Being an anti-inflammatory food, tomato intake also reduces chronic pain. Chronic pain often involves chronic inflammation. Thus by reducing inflammation the amount of pain will also be reduced.

7. Preventing Gallstones – Based on some studies, it is observed that gallstones are less likely to form in people who take tomatoes. The green prana in tomato is actually the main reason behind dissolving gallstones.

8. Reducing Cholesterol and Protecting the Heart – The lycopene content of tomatoes prevent serum lipid oxidation, thus exerting protective effect against cardiovascular disease. Regular intake of tomato has proven to reduce the risk of heart disease, which is because of nutrients such as niacin, folate and vitamin B6.

9. Skin Health – Lycopene content of tomato, makes skin less sensitive to UV light damage. Therefore reduces line and wrinkles. In fact because of the regenerating effect of its prana content, tomato is known as an anti-aging food.

10. Better Looking Hair – The vitamin A in tomato is believed to make hair look stronger and shiny. Although tomato cannot help in problems such as hair thinning, buy it can make your hair look better.
