There’s a lot of literature out there telling you what to avoid doing when you’re angry, like being violent or making important decision. But there are some additional aspects to this.
1.
Do not wish bad things to happen to the people you’re angry with.
What you wish to another, you bring onto yourself. When you are angry, the solar plexus becomes overactive. Depending on the intensity of your anger, it may become so big it will negatively impact other chakras, including the throat. In other words your anger will make you lose the capacity of thinking straight. Being angry often comes with a sense of entitlement to harm the other parties involved. In many cultures there are swear words including such negative wishes- which are used commonly and without discernment. However, like energies attracts like, so when you wish certain things to happen to another, you yourself become a magnet for them.
In addition, by the law of karma you become entitled to receive that which you have sent out into the world. Is this really worth it when you know you’re creating negative karma for yourself ?
2.
Don’t imagine doing terrible things to others.
While this might seem like a harmless thing because you’re not operating in the material world, it does have consequences. It actually constitutes what is called a common type of psychic attack. It harms the other person more than you can imagine and it makes you entitled to be on the receiving end of the same treatment. The more emotional energy fuels your visualization, the more likely it is for it to have material effects. If you’ve ever done this and wish to do something good for that person, you could visualize them and bless them with everything they need.
3.
Don’t use your loved ones (spouse/ children) as a garbage can for your negative emotions.
This means don’t lash out at them or mistreat them when you can’t manage your negative emotions. This happens often if that’s what you saw in your home growing up. If none of the partners use their discernment and continue engaging in this behavior, on the long run it will destroy the relationship. If you’re used or tempted to do this, just put yourself in the other persons shoes. How does it feel to be on the receiving end of this treatment?
Is it fair?
Is it worth it?
Your emotions are your own to deal with. This is valid for everyone.
4.
Don’t blame the others for how you’re feeling.
You’re not feeling angry because someone did something, but because of the meaning you give to that action. This process is called self awareness. When you start to have a negative emotion, shift your focus on what thought you created to make that emotion arise. Emotions are always caused by thoughts, whether conscious or subconscious. You are the creator of your thoughts. Take charge of your own emotions. If you feel overwhelmed, seek help. It could be a doctor or a Pranic Healer or any modality that you’re comfortable with.
5.
Don’t pretend you’re not feeling it.
Don’t shove it under the rug. If you do so you’ll keep attracting people and situations which help it come out to the surface.
“If you squeeze an orange, orange juice will come out.” – Wayne W. Dyer
Feeling negative emotions may seem scary, especially if you’ve never been taught how to manage them. However, if you keep them hidden from your awareness in the subconscious mind, they will do everything in their power to come to the surface so that you acknowledge them. They will negatively impact your physical health and they will attract circumstances which allow them to manifest. If you have anger in your system, this means you’ll attract things that “make you” angry. You can use this affirmation for 60 days to make the process easier: “it’s safe for me to feel all my emotions, including anger”. If you’re looking for a safe way to let out anger, beating a pillow is an example. Just make sure you don’t use the pillow as a symbol for other people or yourself.
We have one or many of these points which can trigger us. If you have fears or challenges when it comes to dealing with anger, there are steps that can be taken to address and reduce the problem.
