The Mold for the Body

Based on ancient literature the visible physical body that we can see and touch is nothing but only a small part of what we call “the human system;” it is not even the complete physical body.

Based on Master Choa Kok Sui’s research, physical body is composed of two parts: the visible physical body and the invisible physical body. This invisible physical body, also known as energy body, appears to the clairvoyants and psychics as a luminous energy field interpenetrating the physical body and extending out for about 4 to 5 inches beyond. This energy body is interconnected with the visible physical body and what affects one, affects the other; it means that it destroys together with physical body by death since its existence is dependent on the visible physical body and cannot normally exist or act as a separate vehicle.

Just like the visible physical body, the invisible energy field has a head, arms and legs, which makes it to be called by theosophists like Annie Besant and Arthur Powell as “etheric double” or “etheric body;” being made of ether or plasma and being similar to visible physical body. “In appearance the Etheric Double is a pale violet-grey or blue-grey, faintly luminous, and coarse or fine in texture according as the dense physical body is coarse or fine.” Arthur E. Powell

This invisible body is also known as “bioplasmic body.” Bio means life and plasma or ether is the fourth state of matter, after solid, liquid and gas. Plasma is basically ionized gas which means gas whose particles are positively and negatively charged. According to Master Choa Kok Sui, “Bioplasmic body means a living energy body made up of invisible subtle matter or etheric matter.” In Indian terminology, this body is called as “Pranamayakosha” meaning the vehicle of Prana since Prana is absorbed and distributed to the physical body through this energy body. Thus it is basically a medium to energize and vitalize the visible physical body. The energy body has an aura which is called the etheric aura.

The development of the etheric body and its faculties is the reason behind the “power” in moving the objects without using the visible physical body and creating sounds, etc which are beyond the comprehension of most people.

In 1939 Dr. Semyon Davidovich Kirlian and his wife created a camera which could take picture of this energy body by creating a high-frequency electric field. In this way, scientists could study the energy around the body, fingers and even leaves.

Energy body is composed of energy channels, often called as “Meridians” or “Nadis,” and energy centers, known as chakras. Chakras are like power plants that provide energy for different organs in the visible physical body. They basically control the proper functioning of the whole body. Major ailments usually happen due to malfunctioning of one or several chakras in the energy body.

In fact energy body does exist because it has significant roles in the proper functioning of the physical body. One of the main functions of the energy body is that it absorbs Prana from the surroundings and distributes it to the whole visible physical body and in this way energizes it. As discussed in the earlier article, Prana is the life energy that nourishes the body and keeps it healthy and alive.

It also acts as a mold or pattern for the visible physical body. Without this pattern, the form and features of the body would change due to continuous metabolism for years. It means that the conditions of the energy body affect the visible physical body. If energy body by any means gets affected, disturbed or damaged, the visible physical body will also get affected.

This is one of the principles used in energy healing techniques; by normalizing the condition of the energy body, the physical body will also get normalized. Sometimes it happens that after surgery and removing one portion of the body like kidney, the patient still feels pain in the same part. This happens because of the fact that the etheric kidney has not been removed with the dense physical matter and can still be seen by clairvoyants.

Another function of the energy body is to act as a bridge between the dense visible physical body and the astral or emotional body which is a medium to feel the emotions which will be discussed in upcoming articles. It means that the energy body transmits the consciousness of the physical sense-contacts to the astral body through the etheric brain and also brings down the consciousness from the astral and other higher bodies into the physical brain and the nervous system.

The condition of the energy body can be detected through several means varying from clairvoyant observation, camera photography to simply scanning with hand.
