You must have an Accurate Perception and a Correct Expression
“Those who consider the inessential to be essential, and see the essential as inessential, don’t reach the essential; living in the field of wrong intention.”
Lord Gautama Buddha
Everything comes from the thought. Thought is often called as the seed and act as the fruit, since thought is the one that encourages the action. Therefore on the first step the thought should be pure, wholesome and accurate, otherwise the act becomes faulty. This is often called Accurate Perception.
“Accurate Perception means seeing things accurately.” Master choa Kok Sui
Accurate perception and intelligent decision making, leads to correct expression. Wrong speech and wrong action are basically the results of wrong viewpoint, which normally lead to suffering. Emphasized by Master Choa Kok Sui, Accurate Perception and Correct Expression is believed to be one of the most important virtues. “Self-honesty makes big heads small.” Master Choa Kok Sui
One of the means of attaining accurate perception and intelligent decision making is to give up blind beliefs and fanaticism and to think about the matter deeply and from various perspectives.
Don’t believe things just because many people think it is true or just because it is part of your tradition or culture.
“Do not (even) be impressed or fooled by “esoteric” or “scientific” speculations. Remember, anybody can say anything! Anybody can write anything! Practice discernment or Intelligent Evaluation.” Master Choa Kok Sui
Validate the truth for yourself. Analyze it deeply and with an open and objective mind.
“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” Lord Gautama Buddha
In fact when you hear something you need to validate it from various levels. Before you accept anything or put your mind and effort in any work, test if it is true and if it is beneficial and long lasting.
There are three areas that you can look into to see if what you are intended to do is worth doing.
1st Step to an Intelligent Decision | True – False Test
Before you test if something is good for you or not or even think what are the consequences of doing it, first you need to know if it is true or false. Before you decide what to do based on a piece of news you heard, first validate its accuracy.
If the news you have heard is false in the first place, then you don’t have to go on to evaluate if it is useful or not. You can just drop the idea and continue your current life.
Often people fail in accomplishing this first test itself and the effect is many unfruitful actions and losses. Rumors that lead to many catastrophic events are because of not validating the accuracy of the news in the first place.
If after thinking, validation, scanning and contemplation you concluded the discussed matter is true then you can go on to the next step and see if it is useful or not.
2nd Step to an Intelligent Decision | Useful – Vain Test
When you want to invest your time and effort on doing something, you must also make sure if it is worth doing. It can be a deed that benefits you individually, or its benefits stretch to a wider group like a city or a community or even the entire world. The larger the area of influence, the more useful the act!
You may also observe and think how your effort affects you and others. Is it only limited to a physical need, an emotional need or it transcends the soul?! Then you are in a better position to decide.
“To feed the poor is a good and noble and useful work; yet to feed their souls is nobler and more useful than to feed their bodies. Any rich man can feed the body, but only those who know can feed the soul. If you know, it is your duty to help others to know.” J. Krishnamurthi
Although a useful act is worth doing, you can still move on to the next step to see if it produces a temporary effect or a permanent one.
It is a saying that to give a person fish is good as you help them survive, but teaching them fishing is more permanent as they can live even without your future help; besides, they can help others now to survive by giving them fish or teaching them fishing.
3rd Step to an Intelligent Decision | Permanent – Temporary Test
Just because something is useful, it doesn’t mean that it is worth doing. You also need to check how long it will remain useful.
Some works and practices are only useful for a short period of time and afterwards they lose their value while some other remain useful all the time, even after this lifetime.
For example a person who devotes his life to discover a medicine that can rescue many people from death, not only helps the people in his time, but the future generations who come to the earth.
Another way of looking at permanency of usefulness of something is to see how it is benefiting you and in what level. If the benefit is just towards the body such as cooking a good food or designing a nice T-shirt, it is going to be temporary. Maybe for a couple of years or even a lifetime!
If it benefits the emotional body, it is still often temporary as well. Maybe for a very short period of time as the emotions normally change within seconds, or longer!
If it benefits the mental body, it is more durable, however still the effects might be limited to this lifetime. Such as acquiring the knowledge of working with a type writer! After the typewriter was replaced with computer, the knowledge of working with it was not as useful as before. Now if the works you do help you develop your mental body not only the brain, then it will become more permanent. This is one of the benefits of “Study,” as emphasized in spiritual practices such as Arhatic Yoga.
“Accurate Inner Perception trains the mental muscles which are beyond the brain. You can take your mental muscles with you when you leave your body.” Master Choa Kok Sui
Now if something is affecting your spiritual bodies and your soul, you can consider the effects as permanent, as the soul is immortal. Therefore any effort you put to develop your soul and to grow spiritually will remain with you, even after the body dies.
If something passes the above three tests it is one of the best things to do, even if it requires your time and effort.
Wonderful examples are Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga!
Pranic Healing is believed to bring good health and happiness. Its aim is to alleviate the sufferings of humanity while Arhatic Yoga is designed to accelerate the evolutionary process of the soul.
The first test is to validate whether this statement is really true or not. One of the methods of validation is to study about the system, go through the testimonials of people already practicing it and to experience healing for yourself. By experiencing healing you will see how it can help in relieving pain and suffering.
After attending the Pranic Healing workshop and becoming a Pranic Healer, you will learn scanning as a method of validation, as well as concepts such as chakras, their sizes and the spiritual cord. Through scanning the chakras and the size of the spiritual cord, and what happens to them after healing and meditation, you can conclude that the above statement is true. After practicing Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga for a few months, you may rescan your chakras and the size of your spiritual cord to see the effects. You may also look at your life and its improvement to draw a better conclusion.
Second test is to see if it is useful. If a method can help you release your pain and suffering, remove your inner obstacles and gain happiness, good health, abundance and success it is for sure useful. This can be further validated after few months of regular practice.
Last test is to see if the usefulness is temporary or permanent. Based on the science of energy, as long as you practice and keep your chakras and your subtle bodies in good shape, your development and success is guaranteed. Testimonials all around the world support its effectiveness while you are still the best judge after you started the practices. Furthermore, Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga help you achieve a higher degree of oneness with your higher soul and to help you grow spiritually. Achieving a higher degree of evolution is not only useful but permanent, even after leaving the body!
